It stretches between Heidelberg in the Western Cape and Storms River in the Eastern Cape. It is a route that always receives rave reviews from locals and global travellers alike. Day 1 – Cape Agulhas & Big 5 Safari
Our In and Out Garden Route Tour commences with an awe-inspiring visit to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of Africa where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet. We’ll marvel at the rugged coastline, witness breathtaking sunrises and explore the historic lighthouse. Following this, we embark on a captivating journey to a game reserve, where we’ll embark on a sunset safari adventure. As the golden hues of the African sun dip below the horizon, we’ll have the chance to witness the majestic wildlife in their natural habitat, creating unforgettable memories. The combination of Cape Agulhas’ natural beauty and the exhilarating safari experience promises an enchanting start to our tour.
Cape Agulhas
The southernmost part of Africa – is a rocky headland in Western Cape, South Africa. The dividing line between the Atlantic and Indian Oceans according to the International Hydrographic Organization.
Big 5 Sunset Safari
Enjoy a Sunset Game Drive in an open Land Rover with your experienced game ranger who will bring you sightings of lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, cheetah and more. Game Drives will take between 2 and 3 hours depending on how much time is spent at each sighting.
Enjoy a buffet dinner with options of game meat too, for those who would like to try it out!

Day 2 – Cango Caves & Ostrich Farm
Explore one of the world’s great natural wonders, sculptured by nature throughout the decades. With fascinating rock formations, cellar-like chambers, and the low passageways – be prepared to crawl, duck and squeeze your way through the Cango Caves.
Cango Caves
Discover the fascinating underground world of Cango Caves in Oudtshoorn. Marvel at the intricate limestone formations that have been sculpted over millions of years, creating a mesmerizing labyrinth of chambers and tunnels. Explore the awe-inspiring dripstone formations, ancient stalactites, and stalagmites as you delve deeper into the mysterious depths of the caves, immersing yourself in a captivating subterranean adventure.
Ostrich Farm
Experience the unique charm of Oudtshoorn’s Ostrich Farm, where you’ll get up close and personal with these magnificent birds. Learn about their fascinating behavior, witness their impressive speed during ostrich races and even have the opportunity to interact with these gentle giants, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Day 3 – Elephant Walk & Stony Point Penguins
On the following day of our adventure, we’ll have an incredible opportunity to engage with these gentle giants during an unforgettable elephant walk and interaction experience. We’ll observe these magnificent creatures up close, learning about their behavior and conservation efforts. As we make our way back, we’ll make a stop at Stony Point, where we can marvel at the adorable African penguins in their natural habitat. On our route, we’ll also pass by the charming town of Hermanus, known for its breathtaking coastal views and the possibility of spotting majestic whales frolicking in the ocean.
Sunrise Safari Drive
It’s all about wildlife!
Rise and shine to some tea and biscuits before embarking on a Sunrise Safari and get to spot some of the Game Reserve’s residents. After the safari, buffet breakfast is served at the restaurant before checking out.
Elephant Walk and Interaction
A quick drive to a nearby Game Lodge to have an Elephant experience including a quick 4×4 ride before the elephant walking, elephant feeding and elephant interaction. Our experienced guides will introduce you to the gentle giants for an informative session as you get to walk, interact with them and feed them a healthy snack bucket. Bring comfortable walking shoes, a calm and friendly attitude and a giant love for elephants. Ample photo opportunities!
Stony Point
Located in the quaint coastal town of Betty’s Bay in the Overberg, the Stony Point Nature Reserve is home to a colony of African Penguins. Stony Point offers the public the chance to see these wonderful flightless birds up close, via the boardwalk through the colony, which allows the public to observe the penguins go about their daily activities in their natural habitat.
